Wild Adventures in Kent, UK
We were lucky to have beautiful weather for the rest of the weekend which made for an all the more unforgettable time - playing, wandering, crafting, learning in the stunning surroundings of the magical forest setting. At 6:00 PM the Patrols congregate at the arena again to compete for more coveted Patrol Points…to possibly be declared that year's winner.
A step into sustainable living
The biggest lesson I learned was to trust nature, I might not have a clue what's going on, but it certainly does and in the end it usually works out. Even as a first attempt it's going much better than anticipated and we're very happy with the results. Speaking of which, we've already harvested many lettuce and the taste is unbeatable!
ULEZ vs the Conservatives
As of the 4th August 2023, the largest scrappage scheme ever seen in the UK was implemented by Mayor Khan, offering up to £2,000 for all Londoners to trade in their non-compliant vehicle and help fund purchase of a cleaner one.
Goodbye, Twitter. Hello X, xAI
Long-form debates are completely viable in this medium and the new X platform should really be seen as the world's digital town square, where any discussion be it political, ethical, or especially entertainment can thrive. A place where you are encouraged to be your true, authentic self. This is just the beginning…
Tesla's Referral Benefits and Test Drives
I'm certain it had a positive effect for their brand and possibly helped entice a few more souls down the path of sustainable transportation.
Thank you, Tesla, for your unending ingenuity, dedication to the Master Plan, and unrivalled customer service that made this possible.
V.W announces cheap, profitable models coming soon
…from V.W in the form of their new ID. 2all…aimed to cost just ¢25,000, with up to 279 miles of WLTP range and can charge from 0 to 80% in just 20 minutes, great!
…
It does beg the question though, if they're able to produce such cheap, profitable, and environmentally friendly cars, why on earth has it taken this long to do so?
Intelligent EV Home Charging with Octopus
An important aspect that's not understood until experienced is the ability to passively refuel your car at home. The majority of trips will not exceed a full charge so stopping to fill up becomes a special occurrence reserved almost exclusively for long-distance road trips, otherwise just plug in when you come home and wake up the next morning with a full battery ready to go again.
Tesla agrees to advertising trial
The irony of the situation being that Elon Musk now owns Twitter which is heavily dependent on advertising, whether Tesla decide to utilise this easily accessible platform instead of some of the more commonplace mainstream outlets is still uncertain, but it definitely provides a direct avenue with guaranteed lack of opposition if necessary.
Tesla breaks ground on Lithium Refinery in Texas
Tesla officially began construction of their Lithium Refining Facility near Corpus Christi, Texas, on the 8th May 2023. It's expected to begin commissioning at the end of 2023, ramping up to 60 GWh/year capacity, producing enough battery material to build roughly 1 million electric vehicles by 2025, and making them the largest processor in North America.
Automation + AI = Economy?
The future that I see is free. Free in the purest way, not some 'American dream' ideal that whilst completely noble, has never honestly been the case. Freedom to wake up when you like and spend your precious limited hours of life on this planet doing what you love, whatever brings you joy.
Model 3 tyre rotation and proactive warranty repairs
Ten minutes was all it took to do both jobs…I didn't end up paying a penny because all the work was covered under warranty and I had a really easy and enjoyable experience, chatting to the friendly, knowledgable tech and managing everything with a few clicks through my phone.
Tesla Insurance set to disrupt the market
The key end result is most Tesla drivers, thus a larger and larger portion of people on the road, will be training their skills, becoming safer and more responsible whilst saving money. Yet another upcoming disruption to the status quo from the mind of Mr. Musk.
Tesla's API is seriously undervalued!
These computers on wheels are some of the most complexly engineered products on the planet, whilst having a beautifully straightforward and easy to use programming interface…the entire vehicle API is accessible to owners and contains a plethora of interesting information
Tesla Investor Day 2023
Naturally the sustainable energy transition will actually end up costing less than continuing on the current path of fossil fuel investment and subsidies ($10 Trillion vs. $14 Trillion), and the grid will require about half the total generation (82 PetaWatt-hours / yr compared to 165 PetaWatt-hours / yr) due to the vastly greater efficiency of renewables.
Tesla, Technology & Sustainability News
Level-headed, factually informed, scientific discussion is a rare thing to find in the melting pot of social media and it's incredibly refreshing. Each story is examined from an objective standpoint and there's always fascinating information to learn or new opportunities to discover.
A tale of two cars - Seat Mii review
At first glance this car is small and underwhelming, it's limited in almost every feature such as comfort, range & cargo space and the priority of cost-saving is clearly evident from the design to the materials used (or lack thereof), yet it's actually one of the most fun little vehicles I've ever driven!
A cascade of unfortunate events - Mercedes EQA review
This was the first time I ever needed to claim on my insurance in over 15 years on the road, I'm relieved it went as smoothly as it did and had no repercussions to my premium, thanks to Sentry Mode. Without that it surely would have cost several thousand to fix myself, or a hefty excess payment.
Tesla disrupts the trucking industry with Semi launch
The environmental savings alone warrant attention. In the US, combination trucks account for only 1% of vehicles on the road, yet produce 20% of vehicle emissions and 36% of vehicle particulate emissions. So replacing all of those with electric would make some serious headway in cleaning up our air and reducing carbon in the atmosphere
Battery storage systems and Virtual Power Plants
Batteries soak up electricity when there's a surplus and redistribute it when needed, and as such are an essential part of the new-age grid being built today.
Tesla have been working on this problem for a while and already have many successful stationary battery packs deployed around the world, contracted by businesses or governments for mega installations.
