It does beg the question though, if they're able to produce such cheap, profitable, and environmentally friendly cars, why on earth has it taken this long to do so?

At first glance this car is small and underwhelming, it's limited in almost every feature such as comfort, range & cargo space and the priority of cost-saving is clearly evident from the design to the materials used (or lack thereof), yet it's actually one of the most fun little vehicles I've ever driven!

This was the first time I ever needed to claim on my insurance in over 15 years on the road, I'm relieved it went as smoothly as it did and had no repercussions to my premium, thanks to Sentry Mode. Without that it surely would have cost several thousand to fix myself, or a hefty excess payment.

The environmental savings alone warrant attention. In the US, combination trucks account for only 1% of vehicles on the road, yet produce 20% of vehicle emissions and 36% of vehicle particulate emissions. So replacing all of those with electric would make some serious headway in cleaning up our air and reducing carbon in the atmosphere
